How Northbridge Learning turns client briefs into tailored proposals faster

How Northbridge Learning turns client briefs into tailored proposals faster cover image

For Northbridge Learning, winning a corporate training project starts with understanding what the client actually needs.

The boutique training company delivers leadership, communication and management programs. Every enquiry requires a tailored response: different learning objectives, participant profiles, delivery formats and budgets.

Preparing that response means searching through past proposals, checking available course materials and asking senior trainers to shape the program. When several enquiries arrive together, proposals compete with delivery work for the same people's time.

Without an in-house IT team, Northbridge Learning needed a practical way to respond faster while preserving the expertise that makes its programs valuable.

A partnership built around the sales process

The engagement began by reviewing how enquiries become proposals. Which questions must be answered before a program can be designed? Which modules can be reused? Who approves pricing and delivery commitments?

Our team organized approved course outlines, trainer profiles, pricing rules and reusable proposal content into a searchable resource. Outdated materials were excluded, and client-confidential information was kept separate.

We then configured an AI proposal assistant around that resource, with ongoing support for maintenance and updates as the company's offerings change.

Meet the company's AI proposal assistant

The assistant turns incoming briefs and approved discovery-call notes into a structured summary of the opportunity.

It identifies the audience, learning objectives, preferred dates, delivery format and budget where supplied. Missing information becomes a list of clarification questions for the account manager.

Using Northbridge Learning's approved materials, the assistant suggests relevant modules and assembles a first-draft proposal. This can include the proposed learning journey, session outlines, delivery approach and suitable trainer profiles.

Every recommendation links back to its source material. Proposed additions outside the existing catalogue are clearly flagged for a trainer to develop and approve.

Pricing uses defined calculations and approved rates. Trainer availability, custom discounts and delivery commitments require confirmation. Nothing is sent to a prospect without staff approval.

The actual impact

The rollout delivered four measurable improvements:

  • Faster proposal turnaround: Reduced the time between receiving a sufficiently complete brief and producing a review-ready proposal.

  • Less repetitive preparation: Reduced time spent searching for materials and rebuilding familiar sections.

  • More complete responses: Tracked missing requirements, unsupported claims and corrections identified during review.

  • Greater sales capacity: Measured how many qualified enquiries the team can handle without increasing its proposal backlog.
